EXPERIENCE
We are offering work experience
for artists / animators passionate about the console game industry.
Dedicated game developers only please. If you are an artist living
in Perth you must be tertiary trained or experienced in
software packages such as 3DS Max, Maya and Photoshop. We can
offer up to 20 days experience on the PC and PS3. You will work
with the team on a range of small projects. If we can, will try
to accommodate you to best suit to your skillset or interest

CHARACTER MODELLER / ANIMATOR

Bungarra develops high quality high-impact multi-platform sports

Job
Description:
Bungarra is looking for a character artist/animator to create
first-in class content for a 3rd Person sports title in an action
sports franchise currently in development for PC, PS3 and IPAD
markets. As a character artist, you will work together with the
team to model and animate the best looking human character models
to life.
Responsibilities
- Work
with Project Manager to define key milestone
- Ability
and willingness to work with the Art team to ensure consistency
between vision and implementation of character assets
- Collaborate
with technical teams to develop run-time game character procedures
& pipelines
- Makes
a significant, direct contribution to the creation of character
art
- Expert
understanding of next-generation character development processes,
limitations and dependencies
Requirements:
- Ability
to work to a brief. You must be punctual, have stamina and a
genuine ability to work to tight deadlines. We are a media business
and delivering on time is imperative.
- A
demonstrable ability to problem solve
- You
need an excellent working knowledge of 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop
etc. You must quickly master in-house tools - as well as 3rd
party packages
- Proficient
in Max, Maya, Mudbox or Zbrush proficiency is a must.
- Understanding
of lighting concepts, and the ability to effectively light characters.
Good use of line and light
- Excellent
character concept art skills and an excellent eye for colour.
- Excellent
modelling, texturing and rigging skills
- Exceptional
skill in animating realistic human characters.
- Thorough
understanding and application of classic animation principles
(staging, timing, anticipation, follow through, etc.)
- A
genuine demonstrable interest in action sports games is advantageous
- Exceptional
visual and technical understanding in sculpting, 3D modelling
& texturing (both high- & low-resolution characters)
- Experience
and/or education in sculpting and drawing organic forms with
an emphasis on human, biped and quadruped shapes
- Experience
with skeleton/rig creation
- Experience
sculpting facial blend shapes
- Understanding
of biomechanics and anatomy.
Experience:
- 2
Years Minimum experience as a 3D Artist in Video games or related
Industry OR,
- Minimum
of 3-year degree with an emphasis in character animation or
equivalent work experience.
- Outstanding
demo reel demonstrating strong animation ability and good aesthetic
eye and be prepared to demonstrate skill-set via a working to
a brief set by Bungarra at the studio

this is the job for you.
Requirements

support existing systems.

clear, maintainable, portable, and highly functional code.

and performance tuning of code and systems to remove bottlenecks.
- As
needed work on tools and technology tasks to support specific
project requirements.
- Testing
and documenting of the code you write.
Required
Knowledge / Skills
- Five
or more years programming experience.
- Expertise
in C and C++.
- Strong
generalist skills, with solid understanding of game-related
math.
